Our Difference in Workplace Physician Services

Kuzey Marmara OSGB's infrastructure allows even a doctor who has never practiced workplace medicine before to learn the key points of workplace medicine in a short time. Additionally, we continuously update our documentation to ensure that the workplace physician provides health services based on the most current information.

Our Occupational Health Software

Our workplace physicians enter all procedures they perform into our OHS software, the OHS Portal system, considering doctor-patient confidentiality. This means everything done is recorded. You can track which jobs individuals are suitable for based on their pre-employment and periodic health examinations through the OHS Portal system.

Routine OHS Inspections

At Kuzey Marmara OSGB, there is one coordinator for every 8-10 employees. Our coordinators visit workplaces at least twice a year to conduct health and safety inspections. Therefore, the OHS situation in your workplace is monitored not only by one personnel but also continuously by a second pair of eyes, ensuring the highest level of quality. At the same time, our doctors regularly gain knowledge about new developments through training conducted by external trainers and implement these when necessary in the companies they serve.

What Does a Workplace Physician Do?

The duties of a workplace physician are defined by the Regulation on the Duties, Authorities, and Responsibilities of Workplace Physicians. However, the tasks specified in this regulation actually constitute a very small part of the work performed by the doctor.

• Providing guidance and consulting to the employer on occupational health
• Conducting pre-employment and periodic health examinations for employees
• Training employees on general health issues
• Assessing ergonomic and psychosocial risks in the execution of work to ensure harmony between the job and the worker
• Participating in occupational health and safety board activities
• Participating in the monitoring and inspection system activities in the workplace
• Conducting necessary controls regarding the maintenance and cleanliness of cafeterias, dining halls, dormitories, nurseries, breastfeeding rooms, changing rooms, showers, and toilets
• Participating in risk assessment studies led by occupational safety
• Performing preventive health examinations in accordance with regulations related to the assessment and prevention of workplace risks
• Monitoring the health of employees, including those on night shifts
• Inspecting general hygiene conditions in the workplace
• Preparing an annual working plan for the workplace physician

Calculating Workplace Physician Working Time

The working time of a workplace physician is determined by the number of employees at your workplace and the danger class. Accordingly:

• Low Danger Class: 5 minutes per person
• Dangerous Class: 10 minutes per person
• Very Dangerous Class: 15 minutes per person
