Who is Called an Occupational Safety Specialist?

An Occupational Safety Specialist is someone who has graduated from the engineering or science faculties of universities and has successfully passed the Class C occupational safety specialist exam organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security after attending an occupational safety specialist course. A Class C occupational safety specialist is eligible to take the Class B specialist exam after 4 years of experience. Upon passing this exam and working in dangerous jobs for 3 years, they are eligible to take the Class A occupational safety specialist exam. In short, a Class C occupational safety specialist can be promoted to Class A in a minimum of 7 years.


Occupational Safety Specialist Working Time Calculation

The required working time of an occupational safety specialist at your workplace is determined based on the current number of employees and the danger class of your workplace. Accordingly:

  • Low Danger Class: 10 minutes per person
  • Dangerous Class: 20 minutes per person
  • Very Dangerous Class: 40 minutes per person

What Does an Occupational Safety Specialist Do?

An Occupational Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring your company complies with occupational safety regulations and reporting any identified non-compliance to the relevant authorities.
